On Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 the Colorado Springs Venture Attractor hosted the first-ever Spark the Springs celebration! A celebration of entrepreneurship in Colorado Springs. Sponsored by our friends at All Pro Capital with beverages sponsored by Goat Patch Brewing.
This celebration was planned with the intention of bringing the community together to celebrate entrepreneurship in Colorado Springs and announce the first three Torch Grants recipients. With over 150 people in attendance, the energy was high and guests were in good spirits.
Entrepreneurs affiliated with the EPIIC programs had a chance to share their startups with the guests as they mingled, ate, and drank. After some networking, the program began and people’s attention turned to the stage as Venture Attractor founder Tom Duening shared a few words.
As keynote speaker and serial entrepreneur, Jim Waldrop, took the stage the guests were locked in, hanging onto each word he said. Jim shared a wonderful presentation about the victories and defeats every entrepreneur faces, and we couldn’t get enough!
To close out the program each of the three Torch Grants recipients took the stage to receive their checks and say a few words to the audience. This was an emotional moment that was the culmination of months of hard work for everyone involved.
Upon closing out the program the celebration began anew! Stories, ideas, and dreams were shared. The Colorado Springs entrepreneurial community came together for Spark the Springs and it was an incredible experience for all involved. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
